Next up in our set of team previews is Ardsley. The Panthers seem to have all the pieces in place to have a breakout season. Last season’s Conference II League C player of the year, Fallon Sheridan, returns for her junior season. While losing a scoring threat up top with the graduation of all-section forward Sarah Sylla hurts, they gain strength in the back with the return of midfielder/defender Carly Ferguson, who missed last season with an ACL injury.
Below is coach Marc Hattem’s capsule.

Coach’s notes: We are returning the player of the year in our league, Fallon Sheridan. Fallon is an extremely talented and gifted athlete, who I believe is one of the better players in the area. She will be moved into a different role this season and it will be a great challenge for her to grow into her new position. We also return co-captain Carly Ferguson from an ACL injury which caused her to miss her junior year. Carly is a great leader and role model for the younger players on the team. Carly has looked real good in the preseason, and will be part of a very good midfield group with four-year varsity starter and co-captain Nikolet Petras, and freshman Becky Maric. Nikolet is everything you want in a defensive midfielder, and I think Becky can be a special player if she keeps working and dedicating her time to the sport. The key to our success may come down to two seniors in the back, All-league defender Cassidy Wooten and goalkeeper Pam Segall. If they play up to their potential I think we can have a very good season.
