JJ fell to Arlington today 2-1. JJ seemed to control most of the game but couldn’t capitalize on their good opportunities and get past the strong Arlington defense. JJ could do big things this year in Class A, is there any write up on them?
You left out North Salem 5-nil over Yorktown….4 goals by Brenna Brown, 1 by Lea Trageser….Clean sheet for Camilla Fay
Somers beat Carmel in the second game of the Yorktown Tournament. Play resumes Saturday at Somers HS
Witnessed total lack of class by Briarcliff coach yesterday. Beating Pleasantville 4-0 with 5 mins to go he keeps his starters in the game and scores another goal despite the fact that all of Pleasantvilles bench players were on the field. Nice job coach pad those stats.
Thanks for the recap, Spectator. I’m hoping to get to a JJ game soon.
NSSoccerDad- Thanks for the update on the Yorktown Tournament.
@Jasper – there are multiple injuries on the Briarcliff bench so subs were not an option the whole game. Padding stats for several players is not the coach’s strategy and four different players scored. There are only 5 upperclassmen and 16 underclassmen. Please be wary of making accusations when you don’t have facts. It was a good game and Pleasantville worked hard. Good luck to both teams this year!
Accusations give me a break. Nice try at making an excuse. I have seen this coach do this numerous times. So that is a fact!
James- you should! A few very good players these past few years and definitely a few definite all-section players this year with one returning. Expect to see them back in the finals this year.
